Our lattice masts become cost effective where small footprints, high ice-loading or above 80 m wind monitoring heights are critical for your project. We have over 20 years experience in installing such masts.
Off Shore Met Masts
Furthermore we have designed our own offshore met mast to the latest standards upto 140m in height (capable of going higher) specifically for recent bids. We can offer a tower with either an internal ladder, working platforms & fall arrest or external step bolts on one leg c/w fall arrest. Additionally WMI is able to offer a turnkey equipment/instrumentation supply, install, test & commission service incl all navigational aids, autonomous power supplies (c/w redundancy back-up), AWAC, aircraft warning systems etc. as a complete package. We also offer a full lifecycle maintenance service encompassing both preventative and reactive call outs e.g. replacing or repairing equipment or inspecting/certifying the fall arrest system etc.

Our lattice masts are climbable, meaning instruments can be refurbished rapidly at far lower costs and so avoids the need for the built-in redundancy commonly used on tubular masts. |

For high lattice masts we generally use concrete foundations for the anchors with in-line turnbuckles. |

Wind Measure International generally construct the first 30 m with a crawler crane, avoiding the need for additional temporary anchors and reduced the most hazardous part of the task. Our in-house team design, fabricate and test gin poles to complete installations to WMI's high safety standard. |
