Data Download & Backup

WMI operates a regular daily data download system via the either the GSM mobile phone network or satellite links. Data is backed-up to a secure server, which is itself backed up at daily intervals. Downloaded data is monitored for any deviations from expected values and warnings issued. Checks include battery voltage, wind vane correlation and anemometer correlation.

All Campbell Scientific loggers are programmed to send text messages to a designated phone number warning of low battery voltage.
